Of Italian and Puerto Rican descent, Lana Parrilla spent her childhood in Brooklyn, New York. At a young age, she made numerous home videos with her family and especially with her aunt, who is a working actress. Lana’s family supported her natural inclination to perform, however with her determination no one was going to stand in the way of her passion. Parrilla graduated from high school and shortly thereafter moved to Los Angeles to study her craft and began to appear in local theatre productions.

The girls of BABYMETAL, Su-metal and Moametal, have been a metal sensation since they were 12 and 14 years old. In 2023, new member Momometal joined the group. Instead of rousing, cheerful pop songs, the members are supported by a powerful metal band in addition to their own vocals and kawaii dance choreographies, which perfectly combines elements of heavy metal and J-pop.

Misha Collins is an American actor, producer, and activist. For twelve years, he portrayed the role of the angel Castiel in Supernatural (2005–2020). Collins was introduced in the fourth season of the multi-Emmy-nominated series, which tells the story of two brothers hunting everything supernatural. The actor appeared in nearly 150 episodes as Castiel.

The American Book Center returns to Heroes Dutch Comic Con with their ABC pop-up bookstore, offering a diverse selection of comics, manga, SF&F books, and Dungeons & Dragons. ABC collaborates with HDCC and Zilverspoor to organize writing and book panels at the Cozy Corner. Throughout the weekend, guest authors will be signing books at the ABC stand. MarkLykos has been a cosplayer since 2015. He has made many cosplays with his craft skills. Subsequently he specialized in styling wigs, making it a real job. His most famous cosplays include Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Noctis from Final Fantasy XV, and Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu jaisen.
LEGO has just announced that they have partnered with Nintendo to create a series of LEGO sets based on the beloved game Animal Crossing. After the success of the LEGO sets based around Mario and Donkey Kong, expectations are high for this new addition to the product range.
Tasya Teles (1985) is a Canadian actress primarily known for her role in the apocalyptic sci-fi hit series The 100 (2014–2020), based on the young adult book series of the same name by Kass Morgan. The series tells the story of 100 juvenile delinquents left on a devastated Earth to rebuild the planet. Teles appeared in over 50 episodes of the popular television series and became a beloved character among fans. The 100 concluded after seven seasons.

Kelly Sue DeConnick’s work spans stage, comics, film and television. Ms. DeConnick first came to prominence as a comics writer, where she is best known for reinventing the Carol Danvers as “Captain Marvel” at Marvel and for the Black Label standard-setting Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons at DC. Her independent comics Bitch Planet and Pretty Deadly (both from Image Comics) have ranked as New York Times best-sellers and been honored with Eisner Awards, British Fantasy Awards and Hugo nominations.
Famke Janssen (1964) left for the United States in the 1980s to work as a model for luxury fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, among others. Her interest in acting led to small roles, but in 1995 she got her big breakthrough. Janssen became world famous overnight as bond girl Xenia Onatopp in the James Bond film GoldenEye (1995). The role marked the start of a remarkable acting career.
The American-born Elijah Wood (1981) has been in the acting business for a long time and has earned his stripes as a child actor with several noteworthy roles, including a small part in ‘Back to the Future Part II’ (1989). His career took off after the incredible success of the Oscar-winning ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. On November 18 and 19, 2023, the doors of the Jaarbeurs Utrecht will open once again for a weekend entirely dedicated to pop culture. We kick off ticket sales for the early bird tickets on September 22, with a limited number of tickets available at a reduced rate. What’s new this year is that early bird ticket holders for this upcoming edition will have the first access to ticket sales for the 2024 summer edition.

Calling all authors! The story competition of Heroes Dutch Comic Con is starting again! Organized by the American Book Center in collaboration with publisher Zilverspoor, this story competition is the time to display your writing skills.
You may recognize him from his current role in Netflix’s captivating drama series, “Shadow and Bone,” which is based on Leigh Bardugo’s bestselling novels. Perhaps Ben’s most well-known role is his portrayal of Prince/King Caspian in the beloved “Chronicles of Narnia” franchise. His charismatic and regal performance resonated with audiences worldwide.
In 2007 she joined the cast of Harry Potter playing Nymphadora Tonks, Lupin’s partner and friend of Harry in ‘Order of the Phoenix’. Natalia reprised the role of Tonks in the Harry Potter films ‘The Half Blood Prince’ and ‘Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2’.

An Editor-in-Chief at Marvel Comics is an important player in the production process of comic books and graphic novels. The editor is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the creative production, from the idea to the final product that ends up in the hands of the reader.
We have the pleasure of welcoming a guest editor at Heroes Dutch Comic Con. This is a very exclusive opportunity for upcoming Comic Artists. They will get a chance to present their portfolio. Our editor this year is the one and only C.B. Cebulski, Editor-in-Chief, Marvel Comics. Showing your portfolio to the editor is a chance of a lifetime. The editor is the one who can give you valuable professional feedback on your work. He will be present at Heroes Dutch Comic Con to review all portfolios throughout the day. Use his experience to your advantage to grow even more!
As Editor-in-Chief, C.B. Cebulski oversees all day-to-day editorial and creative aspects of Marvel’s publishing division since he was appointed in November 2017. This includes driving the overall editorial creative vision, shaping the larger story direction of the Marvel Comics line-up, and bringing to Marvel the world’s best and brightest writers and artists. Additionally, Mr. Cebulski is furthering Marvel’s efforts to expand the publishing division internationally, helping forge partnerships and create original projects with Panini, Scholastic, Shueisha, Abrams, Sigongsa and Naver/Webtoons.

Amy Allen is an American actress who played the Jedi Master Aayla Secura in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Amy had previously been cast as an additional Twi’lek in the DVD release of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
