Pirate Paradise

Welcome to Pirate Paradise, the place for pirates and pirate fanatics. Our goal? To bring the pirate community together into one mighty crew! At our booth, you can learn all about One Piece TCG, work on the Pirate Tier List, or measure your strength in a game of Burning Blood. But there’s more! Have fun in our Pirate Photobooth, show your creativity in the drawing corner, and enjoy One Piece-themed mini-games! Whether you are friend or foe, you are always welcome at Pirate Paradise. Stop by our booth and experience the adventure with us!

Sakura Kai

Sakura Kai was founded in 1997 by a group of students from Utrecht. In 2017, Sakura Kai participated in the Dutch Comic Con for the first time. Wishing to showcase their martial arts to a wider audience, we gave demonstrations and hosted workshops for the public. At the following DCC edition, we shared a corner with practitioners of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). “friendly” duels were of course inevitable, and loads of fun. This has ever since become somewhat of a tradition. We are hoping to find new people to share our passion for the martial arts with.

WizardWear

WizardWear is a fanclub based on the Wizardwing World. A few years ago, a group of close friends came up with the idea to start WizardWear. This turned out to be a success. The last few years we’ve been trying to bring the magic to the fans by showing props and replicas, but also by adding a few interactive options like earning house points, trying some Bertie Bott’s or by taking a picture at one of our well known photobooths.

Star Wars costume & droid clubs

The Star Wars costume & droid clubs are at it again! The Dutch Garrison (501st legion), Dune Sea Base (Rebel legion), Clan Dyric Vhetin (Mandalorian Mercs) and the R2 builders are looking forward to meeting you at our booth and will be happy to take pictures with all Star Wars fans. We strive for realism so that our costumes and droids look like they are right off the screen. Whether from a movie, series, comic or game. You can find us in our costumes and with the droids at all kinds of events: from large conventions to small exhibitions.

Dutch Arkham Asylum

Dutch Arkham Asylum started as a fan club which quickly grew into a large group of cosplayers with the same love for Batman and his vilians. Since 2019 this group has been taken over by 4 new enthusiastic
managers. The purpose of our booth is to share our passion for DC comics, especially the Batman franchise, with the members of our group. Hereby we offer our members and all other interested parties a place to rest, to have a theme photo made and especially to make new contacts with friends and like-minded.

The Cosplay Medics

Annoying huh, you’ve been working on that cosplay for weeks or even months, but then your horns break, your button jumps off your coat or your sword melts AT the convention. Don’t panic! Because this year we, the Cosplay Medics, are here to help cost-free cosplayers in need with these annoying situations. We ourselves have been cosplaying for a number of years so we have quite a bit of experience in sewing, armour builds and props. We will be at the convention all weekend and can be found behind our booth! We have everything to help, safety pins, all kinds of glue, needle and 64 colors of thread and of course worbla and other thermoplastics for the necessary broken armours or props.

Dutch Whovian Community

We are the Dutch Whovian Community, THE Dutch Doctor Who fanclub. You can recognise our fun stand by the roundels background, and we obviously also have a real TARDIS! Our fanclub has existed since 2007 and our name changed to DWC in 2020. Share your passion and vote in our Doctor Who poll, take a photo with our TARDIS and be a part of our fantastic group photo. We have a big online community and always love it to see and be a able to chat with you in real life, rather than online. Besides this we are also thinking about some new activities this year, so watch this space. The only thing missing is fish fingers and custard 🙂

The Flying Dutch

The Flying Dutch (TFD) is an association that has been actively involved for 40 years in the legendary science fiction series Star Trek. What started with meetings in attic rooms in the 1980s, the TFD grew into a large national association in the 1990s. It publishes its own Dutch-language magazine several times a year, organizes meetings and visits trade fairs throughout the country. The TFD has been around for 40 years this year, a great anniversary that we want to celebrate with you, so would you like to chat about Star Trek? Do you want to know more about the Flying Dutch? Become a member? Come to their stand at the Dutch Comic Con! Live Long and Prosper!

Dojo Yushinkan

Yushinkan is a dojo in Utrecht, the Netherlands. We have been around for over 25 years and train both kendo and iaido. Kendo is the Japanese variant of fencing and iaido is the art of pulling the katana. At Dutch Comic Con we will provide a number of workshops and demonstrations of iaido. Have you always been interested in the mythical Japanese sword, the katana? Then join us and we’ll tell you all about it!
